Restylane® Refyne is an innovative FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler. With the use of XpresHAn Technology, Restylane® Refyne is able to improve moderate to severe facial wrinkles and creases while maintaining a more natural appearance.
The use of fillers in the face has evolved significantly over the last five to 10 years. Increasingly fillers are used in various areas of the face and can produce truly impressive results. However, like any tool in plastic surgery, using the incorrect fillers or overuse of fillers can lead to unnatural appearing results. Many patients have become increasingly aware of this concern and are worried about not looking natural after their dermal filler treatments.
At Sistine Facial Plastic Surgery, the first priority is to achieve natural looking results. Restylane® Refyne is a great tool to help Dr. Leong enhance a patient’s natural beauty without making them look artificial. He believes that the correct choice of dermal fillers in combination with good clinical judgment and a conservative treatment approach can result in outstanding and natural results. Remember, if it doesn’t look natural it doesn’t look good!
Who is a good candidate for Restylane® Refyne?
Adult patients over the age of 21 who are looking to correct or smooth moderate to severe facial lines such as nasolabial folds or “laugh lines” tend to be good candidates for Restylane Refyne. Dr. Leong will assess your particular circumstances to determine if you should receive this treatment.
What is XpresHAn Technology?
XpressHAn Technology is a manufacturing process that uses different degrees of hyaluronic acid cross-linking to create a flexible and smooth dermal filler gel. This next-generation product allows the patient to correct their problem areas with flexible volume and support while maintaining natural expressions in motion.
During Restylane® Refyne injections, will I experience any pain?
Dr. Leong is very mindful of his patients’ comfort level, and he has years of experience injecting fillers. He administers local anesthetic during treatment in our Pittsburgh, Wexford, Mt. Lebanon, Sewickley or Greensburg office to minimize pain and discomfort. Results are immediately visible, and patients are able to return back to work right away. Dr. Leong also injects dermal fillers only with microcannulas, as opposed to needles. This approach reduces the bruising and discomfort that can be associated with dermal fillers.
Will I see bruising after treatment?
Bruising is a possibility and should be considered when scheduling your appointment. If you refrain from blood thinning agents (such as alcohol, ibuprofen, fish oil, Vitamin E, and Aspirin) a week before treatment, you can reduce your chances. Also, Dr. Paul Leong injects the filler using blunt tip needles (microcannulas), which minimizes the risk of bruising.
What is the cost of Restylane® Refyne injections in Pittsburgh?
The cost of Restylane® Refyne injections differ in many regions of the country and is also dependent upon the injector’s skill level. In general, the price of a dermal filler like Restylane® Refyne can range from $600 to $1200 per syringe. Dr. Leong and his staff will perform a comprehensive consultation to determine each patient’s personalized requests and goals.
After formulating these goals, Dr. Leong and his staff will guide you on a treatment plan and cost. Please reach out to one of our five office locations at 412-621-FACE (3223) if you have additional questions.
