What Is Restylane Eyelight?

Restylane Eyelight is a new, FDA-approved dermal filler and the newest addition to the Restylane collection of fillers. This injectable tear trough filler is used to add natural-looking volume to the skin beneath the eyes, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, hollows, and under-eye bags in the process.

How Does Restylane Eyelight Work?

Restylane Eyelight is made with hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that occurs naturally in our bodies. When the filler is injected beneath the eyes, it immediately adds volume, which creates a plump appearance and smooths the skin in the area. This eliminates the appearance of “tired eyes” and helps to create a more youthful-looking face.

What Should I Expect During the Treatment?

After a quick consultation with Dr. Leong or one of our other practitioners, your Restylane Eyelight treatment will be a simple outpatient procedure performed right at our clinic. First, a topical anesthetic will be applied to your skin beneath the eyes to prevent any pain during the treatment. Next, your injector professional will use a very fine needle to inject the tear trough filler into your skin. Overall, the procedure should only take around 15 to 30 minutes, and you can head home as soon as it’s finished.

How Long Is the Recovery Time?

After your Restylane Eyelight treatment, your provider will give you instructions to ensure that your skin heals properly. However, most patients can return to their normal routines immediately after the procedure. To be safe, you may want to avoid exercise for 24 hours after your filler injections.

How Long Will It Take To See Results After Restylane Eyelight Treatment?

You should notice improvements to the area beneath your eyes within a few days of undergoing Restylane Eyelight treatment. However, it usually takes between 10 and 14 days to see the final results. On average, the effects of Restylane Eyelight can last for approximately six months before they start to fade.
