Where Should Facelift Incisions be Made – The Peri-Lobular (Around the Earlobe) Incision

During a facelift, when incising the sulcus area (where the earlobe and cheek meet), it is important to avoid cutting directly into the crease. Instead, I prefer cutting a few millimeters below this area to keep the crease naturally intact. If you cut directly into the sulcus, it can be difficult to smoothly join the skin on the lobe with the skin on the cheeks due to the difference in skin thickness.
