Radiesse®

Radiesse_dermal_fillersRadiesse® is a unique injectable treatment that can stimulate collagen growth and extended correction. Radiesse® treatment can provide a great option to those who do not want surgery, but are looking for a longer lasting filler to create a youthful, rejuvenated and revitalized appearance. Radiesse® can be used to plump up and fill in lines and wrinkles and to reshape your facial contours. It works well to improve a variety of wrinkles including nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Radiesse® is also effective in augmenting hollow cheeks, chin and your jaw line. Radiesse® is composed of Calcium Hydroxylapatite – a water based gel that increases the production of soft tissue. One of the advantages of choosing Radiesse® is that the natural looking results can be seen immediately and can last up to 2 years.

Is Radiesse® safe?

Yes, Radiesse® is FDA approved, biocompatible and non-toxic. Radiesse® has been used all over the country in over 200,000 procedures and requires no skin testing.

How long do Radiesse® injections take?

Radiesse® injections are performed in our Southside, Sewickley, Wexford and Greensburg office and only takes between 15-40 minutes. I perform all of the Botox® Cosmetic and Filler injections, so you will get quality service and exceptional care.

Does Radiesse® have any side effects?

Immediately after treatment you may be a little swollen, red and bruised but this should resolve within a few days. I will discuss all possible side effects with you and thoroughly describe what you can expect after treatment. I think that it is critical to thoroughly go through consents with my patients to ensure that they have a broad understanding of symptoms and risks involved with treatment.

Instructions after Treatment

Avoid touching treated areas, stay out of extreme hot or cold temperatures until swelling subsides, refrain from alcohol or any other blood thinning medications that could cause bruising, and refrain from exercising immediately after treatment.

Who is a good candidate for Radiesse®?

A good candidate for Radiesse® can be someone who wants to reduce facial lines and wrinkles, add structure to their face and wants to plump up sunken, thin areas of the skin. During our consultation, we will discuss your expectations and goals and I will determine if Radiesse® is right for you.

Is a Radiesse® treatment painful?

I have done hundreds of injections and will take the time and effort to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. I use microcannulas to inject fillers, which increases comfort and decreases the likelihood that you will bruise after treatment. If you are concerned with pain, I can apply a topical anesthetic to treatment areas prior to the procedure to help numb the area.
